Comments
The issue is a result of some changes that were made to Red Hat Enterprise Linux that causes the IBM Installation Manager on the AIX system to not be able to access the appropriate native libraries in order to display the contents in the graphical user interface of the Network File System directory on the remote server. For more details, review Red Hat support document 331643: "Network File System mount from Linux to Solaris or AIX - readdir() function fails on Solaris or AIX with new patch." (https://access.redhat.com/site/solutions/331643). See IBM technote for an alternative to using the browse function: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21663289
