APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The client wants to display table records directly without
first displaying the "Column Selection/Edit" screen
(FMN2PRD2).

However, the result depends on a previous FM activation. If
the previous activation (not by rexx) was issued with

  Edit template
  Re-edit template

(screen FMN2PD2E) the next activation by rexx will display
the "Column Selection/Edit" screen.

If previous activation (not by rexx) was issued without
selecting

  Edit template
  Re-edit template

the next activation by rexx will not display the "Column
Selection/Edit" screen.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The "Column Selection/Edit" panel is    *
*                      displayed when File Manager DB2 is      *
*                      invoked using exec FMN2INEX.            *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

The problem occurs when the "edit template" option is set to
'A' on the FM/DB2 editor function entry panel for a prior FM/DB2
session.  This value is not over-ridden when FM/DB2 is called
using the FMN2INEX interface, resulting in the erroneous display
of the "Column Selection/Edit" panel.

Problem conclusion

  • File Manager DB2 component has been updated to correct the
problem.
