Error description

  • You work with IBM SPSS Statistics 22 and created some charts on
a Windows 7 64 bit computer or on Windows 32 bit computer.
On Output viewer you select File - Export. You click 'All
visible' as objects for export and then Type None (Graphics
only) as you would like to export the charts as Graphic file in
    any of the formats:

    BMP, EMF, EPS, JPG,PNG, TIF

You select a path where to export and a chart file name and
    click OK.
However, you notice that nothing happens. The chart files of any
type ar not created on defined folder.

This was reported to IBM SPSS Development. There is an easy
workaround. On Export dialog select to export all visible
charts, then click on paste button.
You will get something like this:

    OUTPUT EXPORT
    /CONTENTS EXPORT=VISIBLE MODELVIEWS=PRINTSETTING
    /BMP IMAGEROOT='C:\temp\test.bmp'
    PERCENTSIZE=100 COMPRESS=NO.

Run the syntax and you will get the chart as bmp or jpg, tif
    etc.

An alternative method for achieving the result is available:

    (1) Close all open Syntax Viewer windows.
    (2) Right-click the graphic to be exported.
    (3) Select the 'Export' menu entry. The 'Export Output' window
    will appear.
    (4) In the objects to 'Objects to Export' section, select the
    'All visible' option.
    (5) Select the appropriate graphic output type, file directory
    and name.
    (6) Select the 'Paste' button. A new Syntax Viewer window will
    appear with 'OUTPUT EXPORT' syntax.
    (7) Select the 'Run' menu.
    (8) Select the 'All' menu entry.

The selected file with the desired file format will be created
and saved in the specified location.
