When there is an high workload, wait work stations missed
their wait time. This causes delays in the submission of
    the successor operations.

Problem conclusion

  • The new parameter MAXSUBJOBS is added in OPCOPTS.
    Its default value is zero.
If the parameter is specified and its value is different
from zero, then the TWSz stops the submission when the
number of jobs submitted consecutively reaches the value
specified by the parameter and scans the tie chain to process
    time dependent events.

The new parameter MAXSUBJOBS has to be added to the OPCOPTS
statement.
The description of MAXSUBJOBS is the following:
Defines what is the maximum number of jobs that the TWSz can
submit consecutively without verifying
the processes related to dependent events
(e.g. wait work station delay, critical path, long duration
alert).
The default value is 0. The maximum value is 9999.
value is 9999.
0 means that the TWSz does not interrupt the submission to
process time dependent events.
You can modify this value with an operator command:
/F procname,MAXSUB=nnnn
where procname is the TWSz JCL procedure name and nnnn the
new parameter value.
