    Problem 1: 04E DSNIFDIC:5006

After the abending module had already identified the most recent
dictionary as the correct dictionary to be used to decompress
a log record, during the verification stage in the code, the
abending module mistakenly expected the compressed log record's
LRSN to be less than the current-end-of-log-LRSN which it had
acquired on entry. This did not take into account that
compressed log records can continue to be written, followed
immediately by the decompress attempt by IFI 306, after the
    current-end-of-log-LRSN mentioned above.

    Problem 2: 0C4 DSNIDCML+0538

When decompressing a log record using IFI 306, if the compressed
object was dropped, DB2 returned the diagnostic secondary reason
code 00C90004 to the application. However, this secondary reason
code is internal. For the case of a dropped object DB2 should
return a secondary reason code that is recognized by IFI 306 -
    reason code 00C90111.

Problem conclusion

  • For Problem 1, code has been changed to check for correct
conditions when verifying the validity of a dictionary.

For Problem 2, code has been changed to return with a reason
code that is recognizable by IFI 306 (reason code 00C90111).
