SQL WIDECHAR should have CCSID of 1200
Local fix
Problem summary
-
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of WIDECHAR variables in EXEC SQL * * statements * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The SQL preprocessor was setting the * * CCSID for a WIDECHAR host variable to 0 * * (under the CCSID0 option) and otherwise * * to the value of the CODEPAGE option. It * * should have been setting it to 1200 in * * all cases. It was also setting GRAPHIC * * variables to 1200 (under NOCCSID0) * * which is wrong as they do not hold * * UTF-16 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The SQL preprocessor has been changed to fix both of these problems
Problem conclusion
-
WIDECHAR host variables will now always have a CCSID of 1200, and GRAPHIC variables never will
