Error description
An HTTP client invoking a web service that is hosted on WebSphere Message Broker V8.0 for z/OS intermittently receives a SOAP fault message reporting an internal error. The problem only starts to occur after the broker has been processing HTTP requests for a period of a few hours, depending on the message load. The fault string reported is normally either: "An internal error has occurred: 2 2019 in putToInputQueue" or "An internal error has occurred: 2 2019 in getFromReplyQueue" The codes "2" and "2019" represent the completion and reason codes returned from the WebSphere MQ API calls MQPUT and MQGET, suggesting that the calls failed due to reason MQRC_HOBJ_ERROR.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Message Broker V8.0 and IBM Integration Bus V9.0 using the broker-wide HTTP Listener on z/OS. Platforms affected: z/OS **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: An HTTP client invoking a web service that is hosted on WebSphere Message Broker V8.0 for z/OS using the broker-wide HTTP Listener intermittently receives a SOAP fault message reporting an internal error. The problem only starts to occur after the broker has been processing HTTP requests for a period of a few hours, depending on the message load. The reported errors indicate a problem obtaining a queue handle used for putting messages to or getting messages from the WebSphere MQ queues used internally by the HTTP Listener process. Listing the open queue handles owned by the HTTP Listener process shows the number increasing over time until no more can be allocated. There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. Problem conclusion
The HTTP Listener process on z/OS no longer leaks queue handles. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v8.0 8.0.0.4 v9.0 9.0.0.1 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg27009742 If the maintenance level is not yet available, information on its planned availability can be found on: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg27006308 ---------------------------------------------------------------
