  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The source is not sending a message (Report table id) when it
drop into mirroring and before it sends any changes. This
results in some internal structures not being initialized and
ultimately in the SOC-04 abend observed by the client
Fix is going against the V10.1  Classic CDC server .

The subscription on the source server has been set to refresh,
before the replication process starts the refresh is completed
but the CDC target needs to receive a ReportTableID message
before it can switch to MIRROR CONTINUOUS.  The results in the
Target CDC server to ultimately take a ABEND0C4.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The Classic CDC server has been amended to send a ReportTableID
message before putting the session into mirroring continuous.
