PM95800: OUT OF STORAGE ABEND04E RC00E2015 OCCURS RUNNING A DSNREXX STORED PROCEDURE AFTER THOUSANDS OF CALLS

Error description

• Running a DSNREXX program as a stored procedure, over and over
  in a WLM address space, the WLM address eventually abends with
  an out of storage condition.  A storage leak has been
  identified.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users running DSNREXX stored            *
  *                      procedures which are called             *
  *                      repeatedly may experience out of        *
  *                      storage conditions due to subpool 78    *
  *                      being exhausted, resulting in ABEND878  *
  *                      REASON 10 abend codes.                  *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  Various abends may occur, depending on environment
  circumstances when storage is exhausted. Along with the above
  mentioned abend, users could also receive (and are not limited
  to) the following abends:
  
  ABEND04E RC00E20015 in DSNSLD1 DSNSVSTK +05C6
  ABEND04E RC00E20016 in DSNSLD1 DSNSVSTK +0634
  

Problem conclusion

• DSNREXX has been changed to properly free storage from
  previous executions instead of orphaning / leaking storage.
