Error description

  • IGYDS0197-E "11" was a name that started with an underscore.
If a DBCS data-name starts with an underscore, the error message
is wrongly seen as a number, perhaps the number is the column.
The error message should display the data-name in error, not
    its column number.
IGYDS0197-E is wrongly given for a data-name ending in an
underscore. It is permitted to end a data-name with underscore.
     Please see APAR PM90417.

The compiler was incorrectly checking for DBCS underscore at the
end of user names, and was putting the column number in the
message for leading DBCS undersacore instead of the user name in
    error.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was changed to diagnose DBCS underscores only at
the beginning of user words, and to use the user word as a
message insert instead of the column number.
