PM94851: PDS PREFERENCE FILE TRUNCATED IN TIM DEBUG SESSION

APAR status

• Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

• PDS preference file truncated in TIM debug session
  To recreate the scenario:
  1) Go into DTU option 6 (Debug Tool User Exit Data Set).
  2) Press enter to edit my 'hlq.DBGTOOL.EQAUOPTS' dataset.
  3) Blank out any preference file that is there.
  4) PF3 to exit.
  5) Press enter to edit my 'hlq.DBGTOOL.EQAUOPTS' dataset and
     verify that the preference file field contains an asterisk.
  6) PF3 to exit.
  7) Now PF10 on TIM screen to edit.
  8) Hit Enter to process.
  9) Add a PDS preference file name in preference field, for
     example TSKRAEM.CODE.INSPPREF(BPR005A).
  10) PF4 to Save.
  11) PF10 on TIM screen to edit.
  12) Hit Enter to process.
  13) Preference file field has dropped the right paren and
      displays - TSKRAEM.CODE.INSPPREF(BPR005A
