PM94691: IN BIGINSIGHTS 2.1 FIX PACK 1 REFRESH MONITORINGWIDGET.SH SCRIPT IS UPDATED TO USE HARDCODED KEY FOR HADOOP NN, JT AND OOZIE.
Closed as program error.
The BigInsights 2.1 release ships with a Linux script for restoring the monitoring widget definition saved in the Derby database used by the BI Web Console. BigInsights 2.1 release uses the host name of Hadoop NameNode, JobTracker, Oozie and GPFS SNMP node as the key for obtaining monitoring data from the HBase tables. For the BigInsights 2.1 fp1 release, the monitoring data stored in the HBase tables uses hardcoded key for Hadoop NameNode, JobTracker, and Oozie . For example, the Hadoop NameNode data has key "namenode". For the BigInsights 2.1 fp1 release, the script needed an update to use hardcoded key also, instead of the host names.
1. Back up the install.xml file in $BIGINSIGHTS_HOME/conf. 2. Edit $BIGINSIGHTS_HOME/conf/install.xml file, replace Hadoop NameNode node with text "namenode", replace Hadoop JobTracker node with text "jobtracker", replace Oozie node with text "oozie". 3. Run the refreshMonitoringWidget.sh script. 4. Restore $BIGINSIGHTS_HOME/conf/install.xml to the original copy.
