Error description
Directory size is displayed in the Size column of the File/Directory details table. The BI 2.0 release shows the size of the directory as the sum of its contents including sub-directories and files. For the BI 2.1 release, the directory size is shown as the total number of sub-directories and files contained by the directory selected. Therefore, user cannot tell the size of a directory on the Files tab anymore for the BI 2.1 release, due to the change of behavior.
Local fix
Use Hadoop fs command to check the file size. Option1: A user with the BigInsights Data Admin role can run Hadoop FS command "hadoop fs -du /<full_path_of_dir>" from the command line prompt on the Files tab, to display a list of sub-directories contained and their size in bytes. Option2: User with SSH access to the BI Console node of the cluster can also SSH to the BI Console node and then run the same command as the BigInsights Administrator User (biadmin by default)
