Error description

• DB2 10 AND 11 FOR Z/OS: The DSN6SPRM.PLANMGMTSCOPE parameter
  accepts invalid settings of ALL and DYNAMIC.  The only valid
  setting is STATIC.

  The PLAN MANAGEMENT SCOPE field on panel DSNTIP8 is used by the
  DB2 installation CLIST to gather the local setting for the
  PLANMGMTSCOPE subsystem parameter, which in turn specifies the
  defasult plan management scope to use when the PLANMGMTSCOPE
  option is not explicitly specified for the bind or rebind of a
  package.
  
  Currently, this field accepts 3 settings: ALL, DYNAMIC, and
  STATIC.  However, only the STATIC setting is documented.
  

Problem conclusion

• In response, this APAR modifies DSNTIP8 to permit only STATIC
  in the PLAN MANAGEMENT SCOPE field.  Other PLANMGMTSCOPE
  settings from the CLIST input (DSNTIDxx) member are converted
  to STATIC.  The DSN6SPRM macro continues to accept PLANMGMTSCOPE
  settings of ALL and DYNAMIC but these are now described as
  serviceability only and should not be used without guidance from
  IBM.
