    *                                                              *

    ****************************************************************
    During the space search process of INSERT operation, a relative
    segment was used instead of the absolute segment number when
    locating the space map page covered by the target segment to
    search for space. As the result, the same space map page was
    was searched repeatedly and caused additional get page counts.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 code was modified to use the correct segment number when
    searching the next available segment for the space.
