Error description

  • You are in the planning stages for migrating to EAV addresses.
The EAV Migration Tracker is active and shows the following
    when BPXBATCH is used:
    ----TRACKING INFORMATION---- -VALUE--
                           JOBNAME PROGNAME OFF-- ASID NUM
    SMS-E:1 DADSM OBTAIN CICS TSOUSER *PATHNAM DA8 8E 18
    SMS-E:1 DADSM OBTAIN CICS TSOUSER *PATHNAM DA8 227 18
    SMS-E:1 DADSM OBTAIN CICS TSOUSER *PATHNAM DA8 286 26
    .
Looking further this shows that DFHWS2LS is calling BXPBATCH.
This process is not compatible to use EAV Addresses which is
why the migration tracker flagged it.

Temporary fix

  • FIX AVAILABLE BY PTF ONLY

Comments

  • The CICS Web Services Assistants have been updated to allow
reading and writing to EAV and non EAV datasets.

The Java version used to execute the Assistants needs to be at
    Java 6.0.1 64bit Service Refresh 6 or Java 7.0 64bit Service
Refresh 5 to enable EAV support.
