PM92898: FM/IMS HANGS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO BROWSE A DATABASE USING A STATICPSB AND NO VIEW WITH IMS V13

Error description

• With IMS V13 when browsing a database using a static PSB,
  without the use of a view, FM/IMS hangs.

  *                 subsystems.                                  *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: TSO session hangs when attempting to    *
  *                      browse or edit a database in an IMS     *
  *                      Version 13 subsystem.                   *
  *                      The problem occurs when you specify DLI *
  *                      for the Region type and any one of the  *
  *                      following:                              *
  *                      - a database that is a HALDB            *
  *                      - a subsystem that is defined as        *
  *                      dynamic allocation only in the FM/IMS   *
  *                      installation options module             *
  *                      - Static for the PSB type and a PSB     *
  *                      that has PCBs for databases that are    *
  *                      not logically related to one another    *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  FM/IMS uses the DMB control block in the DFSDMB macro.
  The problem occurs because the DMB control block has been
  extended in IMS Version 13 and FM/IMS was using an earlier
  version of the macro.
  

Problem conclusion

• FM/IMS has been modified to correct this problem.
