Error description
After applying UK94856 Web Services that use WS-AT will no longer work. Message DFHPI0508 will be issued on receipt of the first WS-AT protocol message. . DFHPI0508 The pipeline manager is unable to create or join a request stream because it is unable to reach the target for transaction CPIH with userid CICSUSER. . The cause of the failure is that UK94856 failed to ship an updated copy of DFHWSATR. DFHWSATR makes a DFHPIPM INVOKE_PROGRAM call to run DFHPIRS. The DFHPIPM domain interface was modified by PM82511 so the domain call made by DFHWSATR no longer works as expected.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users with UK94856 applied. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message DFHPI0508 issued when CICS * * processes a WS-AT protocol message. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A CICS Web Service is configured to use atomic transactions (WS-AT). When CICS receives the first WS-AT protocol message (either a Register or RegisterResponse message) msgDFHPI0508 will be issued and the message will not be processed. Failing to process the Register or RegisterResponse message will mean that the original Web Service request will also fail. The cause of the failure is that PM82511 updated the domain interface to the pipeline manager (DFHPIPM) but failed to ship all of the callers in PTF UK94856. DFHWSATR is used to process the WS-AT protocol messages. It uses DFHPIPM to invoke DFHPIRS which handles the interaction with the CICS recovery manager. UK94856 failed to contain DFHWSATR so the call to DFHPIPM no longer works. Additional keywords: PI0508 DFHWSATP
Problem conclusion
UK94856 DFHWSATR has been recompiled to pick up the latest version of the DFHPIPM domain interface.
