Error description

• Abstract:
  Attempts to display a diagram in the web client result in error:
  'com.ibm.xtools.rmps.frontservice.jfsclient.RmpsRuntimeException
  :
  500(CRITICAL) :No content to map to Object due to end of input'
  in the file dm.log, when using IBM Rational Software Architect
  Design Manager 4.0.2
  
  Error description:
   1. Install IBM Rational Software Architect Design Manager 4.0.2
  using IBM HTTP Server as a Reverse Proxy.
  2. Import a UML Project with UML Models and some simple diagrams
  from IBM Rational Software Architect 8.5.1 into IBM Rational
  Software Architect Design Manager 4.0.2
  3. Connect to the project with a Web Browser
  4. Navigate to the Diagram from the Web Client
  Results:
  The Diagram contents are not displayed in the web browser.
  5. Open the file dm.log
  Results:
  The following error appears:
  com.ibm.xtools.rmps.frontservice.jfsclient.RmpsRuntimeException:
  500(CRITICAL) :No content to map to Object due to end of input

Local fix

Problem summary

• When Design Management data was being communicated via an IBM
  HTTP Server, intermittently the format structure was
  misinterpreted, resulting in some parts of diagrams not being
  displayed.
  

Problem conclusion

• Enforce the proper setting og the format structure. This defect
  has been fixed in the Rational Software Architect Extension for
  Design Management 4.0.4 release.
