PM92306: Unable to create Flowchart diagram for a New Term Operation in Rational Rhapsody

Error description

• Abstract: Attempts to create Flowchart diagram for a New Term
  Operation fails in IBM Rational Rhapsody as the option for the
  same is not available
  
  Error Description:
  
  1. Open or Create a Rational Rhapsody project
  2. Create a New Term StereoType for Operation
  3. Create a Class ? Operation and Apply the New Term Stereotype
  to it
  
  Notice that there is no option to create a Flowchart under the
  Diagrams section
  
  However if you create an Operation only or only stereotype
  applied to Operation you get the option to create a Flowchart
  diagram
  
  Workaround: None
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Since the FlowChart Stereotype is in the PredefinedTypes
  Package, there is not way to change that.
  As a workaround, the user can do the following:
  1. Clone the FlowChart Stereotype to anothere Package.
  2. Rename the new created Stereotype.
  3. Add Generalization from the new Stereotype to the FlowChart
  Stereotype.
  4. Add MyOperation to the value of the Model::Stereotype::Owners
  property of the new Stereotype.
  5. Now, the new Stereotype which is derived from the FlowChart
  Stereotype will appear in the menu.
  

Problem conclusion

• There are no plans to fix this defect.
