Error description
In RDz 8.5.1.1, in the Remote z/OS search dialog enabling regular expression box when searching for a member results in a hang.
Local fix
Problem summary
The RDz client sent a wrong search query to the RDz server when the regular expression was enabled.
Problem conclusion
The RDz client was fixed to send an effective search query for the regular expression search. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.4 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
