APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • You work with IBM SPSS Statistics and create a multiple response
set and run a ctables command for the MRSET:

    mrset /mdg nam = $thema var = v7_1 to v7_11 val = 1.
    exe.

    ctab
     /vlab var = $thema display = none
     /table $thema [c]
     /clab rowlab = opposite
     /slab vis = no.
However, when you run the syntax the program crash with
spssengine has encountered a problem and needs to be close. We
    are sorry for the inconvenience.
    Followed by
An unknown error has terminated communication with the
processor. The SPSS Statistics Processor is unavailable.

This was reported to SPSS Development to create a warning
message instead of the program crash. The syntax in question is
not appropriate for multiple response sets. For the set you
cannot use the subcommand for the category labels in the
    opposite dimension:
     /clab rowlab = opposite
This is not supported for multiple response sets.
If you remove the subcommand for the ctable with the mrset there
    is no crash.
