Problem summary


    

  • After updating to IBM Installation Manager 1.6.2, any
Installation Manager operation is blocked and following error is
seen in the <agent data>/pluginState/.metadata/.log file:
<message>Unhandled event loop exception

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Mismatched ids:  (etc)

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A defect was discovered in the IBM Installation Manager in the
offering ID comparison method.  A fix is provided in the 1.7 and
later versions of the IBM Installation Manager.
