APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Using DB2 datasource configuration set up by Installation
    Manager, application may encounter exceptions of the form:

    FWLSE0101E: Caused by: <openjpa-1.2.2-r422266:898935 nonfatal
    general error>
    org.apache.openjpa.persistence.PersistenceException:
    [jcc][t4][10120][10898][3.51.90] Invalid operation: result set
    is closed. ERRORCODE=-4470, SQLSTATE=null

Local fix

  • Issue may be worked around by setting these custom properties
    in the DB2 datasource configuration:

    nonTransactionalDataSource=true
    resultSetHoldability=1
    webSphereDefaultIsolationLevel=2

    However, this workaround does not work when using an XA
    datasource. There are no known workarounds available for that
    case.
