    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A NullPointerException exception occurs *
    * when the data grid is restarted while *
    * applications remain active and classes *
    * are not in the server class path. *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
Primary and replica shards might be lost when you restart the
data grid. When primary and replica shards are lost for the
metadata map, active clients attempt to restore the metadata for
the COPY_TO_BYTES maps in case other shards that contain user
    data still exist. ‚
During this metadata restoration, an exception occurs in some
situations where the classes are not in the server class path. ‚
Serialized objects might have missing metadata,
which can result in a different errors depending on the
sequence of events that lead up to the error. ‚   You might see
ClassCastException exception if the serialized value is
    retrieved
incorrectly into the wrong type. ‚   You might see an IOExceptio
exception that refers to an unrecognized type message (
    CWOBJ6313E ). ‚
A NullPointerException exception might also be logged in the
    first-failure data capture (FFDC)
    files.

Problem conclusion
