Error description
A RichFaces JSF applicationn gets the following FFDC logged when a RuntimeException is thrown during startup, however the application still seems to function fine. Exception = java.lang.RuntimeException Source = com.ibm.ws.javaee.ddmodel.DDParser probeid = 410 Stack Dump = java.lang.RuntimeException: unexpected event 8 while processing element "{http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee}property-extension". at com.ibm.ws.javaee.ddmodel.DDParser.parse(DDParser.java:567)

Problem conclusion
The faces-config xml file processing code has been updated to correctly parse property-extension elements. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.1.
