PM90426: CMSKEYSTORE CANNOT BE DELETED AFTER REMOVING UNMANAGED NODE AND WEB SERVER FROM THE MASTER CONFIGURATION VIA THE ADMIN CONSOLE

Error description

  • Removing an unmanaged node using the Administrative Console
    successfully deletes the associated web servers but it does
    not remove the CMSKeyStore information that belongs to the web
    servers.
    
    The following error occurred when attempting to delete the
    CMSKeyStore on the Admin Console:

Local fix

  • - use cleanupNode command
    

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED:  All users of IBM WebSphere Application      *
    *                  Server that are removing Unmanaged Nodes    *
    *                  with Web Servers.                           *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Removing an unmanaged node with         *
    *                      associated Web Servers, does not        *
    *                      remove the CMSKeyStore information      *
    *                      that belongs to the web servers.        *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:  Install the fix pack containing this APAR.  *
    ****************************************************************
    deleteWebServer was not being called to remove web servers
    during the process of removing an Unmanaged node but
    instead deleteServer was called.
    

Problem conclusion

  • deleteWebServer will be called to delete web servers instead
    of deleteServer when removing an Unmanaged node.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 7.0.0.31, 8.0.0.8, and 8.5.5.1  Please refer
