Error description

  • Within Support, we have from time to time advised clients to
drop project tables (ie. PW*_, etc....) and import from a
Content Library as a mechanism to recover from a corrupted AW
project and/or improve project performance, as described
    here:??http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21573208
    ??However,
when using an Oracle Target, this causes Database
Synchronization (Load Management) to fail. The Database
Synchronization reads the existing contraints on the Warehouse
tables as being different than in the metadata, and attempts to
drop/re-create them. However, because the command does not
first drop the foreign key constraints, Load Management fails
with the following error:??ORA-02273: this unique/primary key is
referenced by some foreign keys??This cascades to the following
failure when Load Management tries to then create the new
Primary Key on the warehouse table:??ORA-02260: table can have
only one primary key??The expected result would be that Database
Synchronization have the "intelligence" to prevent the errors
above. This does not seem to be an issue for SQL Server.?
