Error description

  • When attempting to use cross memory communications between the
correlation and distribution services and a failure occurs, an
extraneous trace entry causes an abend.  AbendS10B in VHSTIME
module from call to FNADDTRA in CACXM load module is one
symptom of this issue.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If an error occurs in Classic publisher *
*                      when using cross memory services (XM)   *
*                      an abend S10B can occur due to an       *
*                      attempt to write a trace entry when the *
*                      trace is not running.                   *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
This fix prevents the writing of a trace entry in XM services
when the trace is not running.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Install this fix to avoid abend S10B when using classic
publisher with cross memory services.
