Error description
A response of FAILED and a reason of EXCEPTION may be returned when attempting to update, remove or perform an action against a CSYSDEF, CSYSGRP, CSGLCGCG or CSGLCGCS record, if the Maintenance Point (MP) CMAS is running CICS Transaction Server V5.1 or higher.

Note * * that the restarts do not need to occur at * * the same time. * **************************************************************** When an API request to update, remove or perform an action against a CSYSDEF, CSYSGRP, CSGLCGCG or CSGLCGCS record, is sent to a MP CMAS running CICS Transaction Server V5.1 or higher, from a non-MP CMAS running CICS Transaction Server V3.2, the response returned by the MP CMAS to the non-MP CMAS may include an error value that was introduced at CICS Transaction Server V5.1. When the non-MP CMAS receives this, it will not be able to translate the response into a meaningful API error code value. Instead, it will return an API response of FAILED and a reason of EXCEPTION. Problem conclusion
Resource tables CSYSGRP, CSYSDEF, CSGLCGCG and CSGLCGCS were updated to support the error codes introduced at CICS Transaction Server V5.1. Method argument lists (MALs) associated with those resource tables were also updated to allow the non-MP CMAS to reference the new response error values.
