PM89314: APPLICATION CENTER DOES NOT WORK WITH DERBY ON THE WEBSPHERE APPLICATION SERVER

APAR status

Error description

  • After installing Worklight Server, choosing Apache Derby as the
    database and WebSphere Application Server (Full Profile) as the
    application server,  the Application Center does not work.
    

Local fix

  • In the WAS console, select "Resources > JDBC > Data sources",
    pick the "Application Center database", click on "Custom
    properties", and change the value of the property 'user' from
    'WORKLIGHT' to 'APPCENTER'. Save the change and then stop and
    restart the WAS server.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified to set the value of the 'user' custom
    property to 'APPCENTER' and not 'WORKLIGHT'.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fixpack 5.0.6.0.
