APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If an attribute value contains an RTF table, and that table
    contains a non-unicode symbol, the client will crash (or hang)
    when the object, or objects near it, are selected.
    
    If the object is near the top of the module, the crash may occur
    on opening it.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • DOORS client locks or crashes when opening a module with
    unsupported RTF tables.
    

Problem conclusion

  • DOORS does not support RTF tables. However, the crash that is
    occurring has been resolved.
    

Temporary fix

  • Do not use rich text tables
    

Comments

  • This happens in versions of DOORS prior to DOORS 9.5.1.2. This i
    s a client side fix.
