Error description

  • jzos BSAM error

Local fix

  • set system property jzos.bsam.disable=true when reading SYSIN
datasets.

Problem summary

  • The read method of com.ibm.jzos.RecordReader causes an ABEND
when reading data defined through in-stream data definitions
(such as DD *).

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.1 SR6 (z/OS 31-bit)
7.0.0 SR5 (z/OS 31-bit)
.
JZOS has been updated to prevent ABEND from occurring when
reading data defined through in-stream data definitions using
the read method of com.ibm.jzos.RecordReader.
