The ccmdb backup command with the option no_check works but it does not show up as protecting the database in the ccmdb info command when indeed it is protected. Workaround is to use the command without no_check option or to inform clients of time period of backups so work isn't expected to be done when the db still notes unprotected.
ccmdb backup command with no_check option doesn't allow ccmdb info to show protected state.
The ccmdb backup command when used with -no_check option keeps the database protected while running the backup, but it is only that the message is displayed as unprotected, even if it is protected. So, conceding it as it is only about message display issue that can be overcome using work around.
