  IMPORTANT:  To avoid OutOfMemory exceptions during the
  WasPreUpgrade and WasPostUpgrade steps from this section,
  consider reducing the size of the
  wp_profile/PortalServer/deployed directory. This directory
  contains a copy of every application that has ever been
  installed in the environment.  You may find duplicates here
  that can be deleted, or apps you simply do not use anymore that
  can be deleted.  Removing applications from this directory will
  have no impact on the migration process or Portal
  functionality.
  
  You can also clear/archive the contents of the following
  directories:
  
  wp_profile/logs
  wp_profile/ConfigEngine/log
  wp_profile/wstemp
