Error description

  • You noticed DFHIS1015 messages after a region stalled due to
CPU contraints on the LPAR. After the CPU constraint was
relieved, it was found that IPCONN autoinstall was effected and
    the autoinstallled ipconns were unusable.
From review of the logs and recreate, it looks like the CTG
daemon initates a request to connect to CICS. The first
capability_exchange request comes into CICS and CISS task is
invoked URM to autoinstall and create the IPCONN. After this
CISS sends the first capability_exchange to the CTG side.
During this time, the CICS region is stalled due to CPU
constaints. CICS SO domain does a socket send with good
response but CTG side timeout before it reads the first capex
    response from CICS.
CISS continues its process after first capability_exchange
response is sent and issues DFHIS2001 message from WEB
SESSION1. Just after that, session_closed notified from CTG
comes into CICS, but CISR ignores it. The IPCONN is then set to
ACQUIRED status but really no capability exchange was
    established fully.

Comments

  • This APAR is being closed with a code of RET/AU. This closing
indicates that the Change Team has been unable to diagnose the
root cause of the problem using the available system dump and
    job logs.

To ensure that only high quality fixes are distributed to all
Customers, we require every fix to be fully diagnosed. This
will minimize any exposure to a possible PTF error which could
later be more detrimental to the Customer.

To fully diagnose this problem the Change Team would need to
see a system dump taken on the first DFHIS1015 message and the
associated full CICS job log. The dump must have the CICS
internal trace active with a trace table size of at least 4MB
and a minimum of the IS, SO and WB components set to 1. The
IS, SO and WB components set to 1-2 and all other components
set to 1 would be preferred.
