Error description
Fast Log Apply phase of the RESTORE SYSTEM utility may encounter problems during log record processing resulting in ERQUAL5066 failures in DSNIRSTR.

**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of Restore System. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABND04E RC00C90101 DSNIRSTR ERQUAL5066 * * DURING RESTORE SYSTEM LOG APPLY. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** During Restore system log apply phase, after processing data set (partition or page set) create log record, a local flag was not clean up properly. This resulted in an invalid test performed on the next log record. Since the next log record was an insert log record but it was expecting it to be data set create, resulted in this abended. As indicated above that expecting a data set create was a bad assumption because of the prior data set create log record did not clean up a local flag when it was done processing that log record. To avoid, this in a future, log apply logic will make sure that it will clean up all the necessary local flags when it is done.
Problem conclusion
Restore System log apply logic is modified to clean up all the necessary local flags after processing each data set create log record.
