Error description

  • SA crashes when Merge between encyclopedias by Violation of
    PRIMARY KEY constraint error
    
    Select Tools/Merge/
    Select 'Always replace Target'
    SA will crash showing the following error message:
    
    A database error has occurred: (250, 104, 0, 460, 1)
    Number = 80040e2f;
    NativeCode = 2627;
    Source = Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server;
    Desc = Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_ID'. Cannot
    insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.Entity'.
    Number = 80040e2f;
    NativeCode = 3621;
    Source = Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server;
    Desc = The statement has been terminated.
    
    Workaround:
    
    Employ the 'Use most recent' collision option.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR is a rsult of the fix to APAR PM55224.
    Problem now corrected.
