Comments
This APAR has been seen to cause overlays to pages of storage, especially ESQA storage, whose address corresponds to the first word of a PSW. For example, overlays have been observed to the page at 070C0000 in storage, the page at 078D1000 in storage, etc. Since these storage addresses tend to be within above the line SQA where various critical system control blocks live, the symptoms of the overlay can be unpredictable, and the impact can be significant. In the case of an overlay at one of these "PSW-like addresses", the overlay content typically has the hex byte value X'E8' at offset +X'31' into the page, and many zeros beginning at offset +X'54' into the page.
