Error description

  • Abstract:
    Attempts to display 'All Active Releases' results in a client
    crash and the synergy.log contains 'Unhandled runtime exception:
    java.lang.StackOverflowError' in IBM Rational Synergy.
    
    
    
    SYMPTOM:
    The problem only occurs for some users. Most users may not see
    the issue.
    
    The java client will crash and the synergy.log file on the
    client will have the following errors:

    CAUSE:
    The problem is caused by a defect and when the active releases
    saved query groups results by 'component'.
    
    WORKAROUND:
    To work around the problem.
    1. Stop the client session
    2. Edit the ccm.user.properties file on the client
    3. Remove the key user.explorer.release.queries.<databasename>
    3. Save the file
    4. Restart your client and click on 'All Active Releases'
