Error description

  • Rollback of a CREATE TABLE in an implicitly created database
that had also performed INSERT operations, resulted in 04E
RC00C90111 failures. The inserts kicked of asynchronous build
of the compression dictionaries but the rollback of the create
table caused the OBD information for the table to be reset to
zeroes. This resulted in the 00C90111 failures in DSNIFPSC with
    ERQUAL5011.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The Compress on Insert feature allows the DB2 compression
dictionaries to be built on the fly during INSERT
operations. Rollback of a CREATE TABLE in an implicitly
created database that had also performed INSERT
operations, resulted in 04E RC00C90111 failures. The
inserts kicked off asynchronous build of the compression
dictionaries, but the rollback of the CREATE TABLE caused
the OBD information for the table to be reset to zeroes.
This resulted in the 00C90111 failures in DSNIFPSC with
    ERQUAL5011.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 code has been corrected to build the compression
dictionaries synchronously in the case that the INSERT
operation occurs in the same unit of work as the
CREATE TABLE in an implicitly created DATABASE, and
this unit of work eventually rolls back.
