Error description
LGBEDITPROC flag in the log which is returned to IFC306 application is not consistent if all following conditions are true. 1. The table has EDITPROC 2. It is in a COMPRESS YES tablespace 3. The IFC306 application specifies WQALLOPT = WQALLOP1 . The log record without decoding should be returned with LGBEDITPROC=OFF. But the log records satisfying above conditions are returned with LGBEDITPROC=ON.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of IFI 306. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: LGBEDITPROC FLAG IS NOT CONSISTENT WITH * * IFC306 PROCESSING WHEN THE TABLE HAS * * EDITPROC AND COMPRESSED * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When log record for the Change Data Capture (CDC) table with editproc is returned in IFI 306 buffer to the application, LGBEditProc flag may not reflect the true state of the data. i.e. row is decoded or unchanged (encoded) by IFI 306. The way application knows whether or not data in the log record is decoded is when LGBEditProc flag is OFF. If the LGBEditProc flag is ON means no special processing is done by IFI 306 and the caller of IFI 306 (application) is responsible for decoding the editproc data. Today, LGBEditPRoc flag is not set/reset in a consistent manner. With this APAR, Data Manager (DM) will make sure that LGBEditProc flag will reflect the true state of the data in the log record.
Problem conclusion
DB2 IFI 306 logic is modified to reflect true state of data in a log record for the table defined with the EditProc.
