• Document Generation with RPE 1.2  will fail for RDM 4.0.1 if the

  The .dsx files created with RDM 4.0 will fail when used with RDM

Problem conclusion

• This works as designed. The authentication used by DM was
  changed between 4.0 and 4.0.1 preventing RPE's
  authentication detection mechanism from working. Because of
  that the authentication property must be explicitly set to
  OAuth for RPE to be able to connect. Doing this will not
  only ensure document generation works but it will also
  provide a boost in performance.
  
  The automatic authentication detection is something that is
  not fail proof given all the particularities of all the
  authentication methods. Also it incures significant
  performance penalties. For that we recommend specifying the
  authentication mechanism whenever the user knows it.
