Error description

  • Cancelling a thread hit a code of DSNIWKFD when just dechaining
GTT reader CUB and left it on the queue as an orphan. Sanity
    check in DSNICMT2 produced a 00C90101 dump with DSNICMT2 5010
    for this orphan CUB.

    Additional symptoms:
    Abend 04E RC00C90101 at DSNICMT2 ERQUAL500C ERQUAL5010
Sanity check failed for the orphan reader CUB
    ..

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
A CGTT-using application was cancelled by the user (RC00E50013
observed in tracing) before an internal reader CUB workfile was
dechained from the internal dynamic CTB chain.

Then in abort path, DB2 abended during the CTB chain traversal
for internal PSFI structures because no CUB was expected to be
    encountered on the CTB chain.

However, this abend is too restrictive, precisely because of the
cases like the one described above. The sanity check needs to be
    tweaked.

Problem conclusion

  • Code sanity check has been updated to account for the possible
presence of CUBs on the internal CTB chain.
