PM84141: IDLE TIME IS INCORRECTLY REPORTED AGAINST THE INTERVIEWER WHEN AUTO SELECT NEXT CONTACT IS ENABLED

Error description

  • When auto select next contact is enabled fro CATI interviewing,
    after each selected call outcome there will be an
    Interviewer_Idle record and then an Interviewer_Wait record.
    The Interviewer_Idle records are usually 0 seconds in duration
    but are sometimes 1 second.  Because the automatically select
    next contact button is enabled, any "idle" time is due to the
    system and not the interviewer.  The interviewer does not have
    an opportunity to be idle so this time should not be counted
    against the interviewer.
