Abstract: When you create a new OSGi bundle that targets the WebSphere Liberty Profile then the generated IBM Websphere Application Server classpath container is not empty. Problem: To replicate the problem, do: 1) Select New ? OSGi Bundle project. 2) Select WebSphere 8.5 Liberty Profile as the target server on the first page of the wizard. 3) Add any Java EE support for example, check the web support checkbox on the first page of the wizard. 4) Click Finish. Expected result: the classpath container is empty. Actual result: the classpath container is not empty. Local fix: There is no known workaround
The WebSphere Application Server V8.5 Liberty Profile class path container in OSGi bundle projects is not empty. The class path container is in the Libraries node of the Java Resources of the OSGi project in the Enterprise Explorer view.
The entries in the class path container are removed. The fix for this APAR is included in Rational Application Developer v8.5.5.
