Error description

  • If you set an incorrect UNC or local drive path at the beginning
of your system path, the IBM Rational ClearCase application will
fail with an error that the application failed to initialize
when running cleartool, multitool, ClearCase Explorer, and
ClearProject Explorer on Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2.

    To workaround the issue:

    1) Confirm you are entering a correct path
    2) Add the UNC or path to the end of the system path statement.
This will prevent performance issues as dlls and executables
would be looked up on the UNC path.
