In a model that is set up with fake fact tables (as per the PP doc 'IBM Cognos BI ? Improve Performance for Interactive Relational Data Access') the fake fact table is not used when it should be if the name of the table is lowercase or starts with lowecase letters.
The Cognos software is behaving as designed. The alphabetically first fact table is determined based on the ASCII codes of the t able names where all lower case letters go after capital letters .
