PM82335: PRINT OPTIONS IGNORED FROM FM/DB2 EDIT/VIEW PANELS. (PT. 2)

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When in FM/DB2 edit or view, if a user changes the print options
and prints something, the newly changed options were not used.

e.g.

  1) Get into FM/DB2 view on a table.
  2) Select OPTIONS from the menu bar.
  3) Select 1 - PRINT SETTINGS
  4) Change the OUTPUT DESTINATION to anything other than
     what is currently selected.
  5) Press F3.
  6) Type RP on the command line of the Table View panel

The RP command did not pick up the newly changed option from 4)
above.

Local fix

  • In order to pick up the new options, the user must leave FM/DB2
and get back in.

The command used to start the print options dialog is incorrect.

Problem conclusion

  • File Manager DB2 component has been changed to correct the
problem.
