Error description
While an XA transaction is being processed, a normal shut down of the Gateway daemon is requested. The associated task in CICS receives an AITJ abend and the following message is written to the Gateway daemon error log: CTG8431E Handshake failure for IPIC connection to CICS server response code=ISCER_EXCEPTION, reason= INVALID_PARTNER_STATE . Problem conclusion
CICS TG has been corrected. In-flight requests are allowed to complete before IPIC connections are closed when a normal shut down is requested.
